Answers to the questions institutions ask most. If yours isn’t here, email support@tesify.app and we’ll reply within 2 business days.
How do we start an evaluation?
Email us with your institution, your role and the cohort you have in mind. We scope a pilot together: one department, one term, with agreed measures. Nothing is signed before your IT and data protection teams have had their review.
What does a pilot cost?
The pilot itself is free. Institutional pricing after that is scoped per deployment — there is no public price list yet, because the figure depends on cohort size, scope and whether you need SSO and LMS integration. You get a written figure before anything goes to committee.
Who owns the work students create?
The student does. We do not sell student work, share it with third parties, or use it to train artificial intelligence models. Your institution’s own rights over student work are governed by your regulations.
Can you sign a data processing agreement?
Yes. A DPA is part of a standard institutional deployment. If your university has its own template, send it — we would rather work from yours than ask you to accept ours.
What can supervisors and administrators see?
What your institution configures during deployment, and nothing more. By default a supervisor sees the student’s document and citations. Cohort-level reporting is available where you enable it.
Does Tesify detect AI-written text?
No. Tesify is not an AI detector, and we would treat any confident claim of reliable detection with caution. It works at the drafting stage instead: structure, citation support and a student-run originality check.
Does it integrate with our LMS and SSO?
SSO via SAML and the major LMS platforms are supported deployment paths. We scope the specifics with your IT team during the pilot rather than promising a one-click install. Tell us your stack early and we will be straight with you about the work involved.
Do we have to replace our existing detection contract?
No. Tesify works before submission; Turnitin and iThenticate work at submission. Most institutions run them side by side, and we are not asking you to unpick a renewal.
